Accountabilities:

• Design and drafting, product design and modification, layout, certified and detail drawings.
• Create and implement ECO’s to products and families of products.
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials, and work with Bill of Material generator systems.
• Provide design, drafting, and product change support to teams, and other departments.
• Provide support to resolve product, manufacturing, and assembly issues.
• Create and maintain design files and planning systems.
• Use standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, etc).
• Understand the basic procedures of departments that use BOM (Sales, Production Planning, and Manufacturing).
• Understand the basic functions of documentation control, document preservation, cataloging, and computer filing
• Receive training, assignments, and other directions from an Engineering Group Leader or Manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from four-year college or university and 1-2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• This position is responsible for product design drawings, including layout, certified, and detail shop drawings.
• The design drafter is proficient in creating and maintaining Bills of Material (BOM) in the Materials Resource Planning system.
• He/She performs routine design calculations from Engineering Standards and Practices.
• He/She assists other departments to resolve problems in manufacturing, quality and assembly.
• The Design Drafter will be proficient in CAD like AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor (Optional), office productivity software, and office procedures
